The EVICS Child Care Scholarship Program provides temporary child care assistance to Estes Park families who demonstrate financial need and for whom other funding sources are not available. Qualifying families must live and/or work in the Park R-3 School District and use a participating licensed childcare program or home provider.

Applicants are first reviewed to see if they may qualify for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP). If they do not qualify for CCCAP, EVICS will then help those applicants must meet the following criteria:

bulletProvide proof of residency or employment in the Park R-3 School district
bulletBe employed, seeking employment, or enrolled in educational or training program
bulletEnroll child or children in a licensed childcare facility in Estes Park
bulletSubmit completed application

Applicants must demonstrate financial need as evidenced by one or more of the following:

bulletMedicaid enrolled
bulletFree or reduced lunch enrolled
bulletSalud sliding scale/CHP+ enrolled
bulletGross monthly family income is less than:
bullet$2,672 for family of 2
bullet$3,357 for family of 3
bullet$4,043 for family of 4
bullet$4,728 for family of 5
bullet$5,414 for family of 6

In special circumstances as funds are available, clients with the following types of temporary and emergency needs will be considered for childcare assistance (documentation required):

bulletMedical emergency or temporary financial hardship that threatens basic needs
bulletSignificant barriers that temporarily prevent ability to work or go to school
bulletSingle parent on medical leave without pay and without alternative source of income
